Josh and Alyse have the biggest hearts. They were inclusive. And went above and beyond to ensure I was a part of their celebration. I'm beyond grateful for them! We spent time at the end of the night recapping their amazing day. And although I had just spent 15 hours on my feet, a part of me didn't want it to end! "But, you know, I'm not gonna cry over it. I did that in the car on the way home." <<--- it's true. But unlike Michael Scott, they were happy tears. There were so many moments that stood out to me that day, a few of my favorites are below.
When I saw Josh for the first time that morning he had this cool, calm demeanor I had never seen before. There was a peace to him that permeated the room. He was so sure of this!
Such a beautiful and easy-going bride! It was a privledge to be there when she got emotional reading her card from Josh, when she had the biggest grin looking up at her groom for the first time that day, when she finally had the chance to eat her funfetti cake (it was incredible), and when she danced her heart out with her new husband.
Josh and Alyse decided to do a first look and so we were able to take all their family and bridal party photos before the ceremony. They had the opportunity to jump right into cocktail hour! It's like every bride and groom's dream! Instead, while I was scouting the area just after they exchanged vows, I saw Josh and Alyse hanging out on the back deck of their Airbnb. Sipping champagne, away from the rest of the world, taking in their first few moments as husband and wife together. It was the sweetest. (Ugh! Tears again!)
